Silk is one of the oldest and most valued textile materials and has been the epitome of luxury since the beginning of times. As elegant and luxurious as silk is, it is also a uniquely strong material. Our pieces are designed to be worn over and over again, for decades to come. Silk was a clear choice for us - it is season-less, works from day to night, is a strong and durable material, and as a natural fiber it is often considered more sustainable than other fabrics. No other fabric can quite compete with the sensation silk gives when you feel its soft and silky touch on the skin. As a natural fiber silk has a lot of benefits natural fibers carry with them - very breathable, moisture absorbent and contains natural protein and antioxidants that benefit skin health. Additionally, silk also maintains its intensity of colors very well. Silk is an isothermal fabric, in short this means that in colder temperatures silk will help your body to retain heat. But at the same time, it’ll allow heat to evaporate in warmer weather. Although, silk is more expensive than most other fabric options and requires some special care - in our opinion it is so worth it.
